The brief

A university building can represent the ideas and collaboration that take place inside it. This Baylor University model focuses on BRIC, a building associated with research and collaboration. We translated its architecture into a compact scene that gives the structure a clear presence and brings its distinctive design into view.

The build uses original LEGO® elements to shape the building as an architectural model. Its outline and visible features create a recognizable profile, while the smaller scale brings the structure into easy view. The model keeps attention on BRIC and the architectural character of the building. It gives the building a form people can examine closely, assemble and display as a connection to Baylor’s research community.

Turning architecture into a buildable object makes a place easier to share. The model can prompt a conversation about the work connected to BRIC and offer a physical reminder of the people who use the building. Its compact form suits an office, reception area or shelf, where the details can be seen up close. For Baylor University, it presents a distinct facility through a custom model that invites attention to the building and the activity it supports.
