Erasmus University College Building Kit

Graduation sends people in different directions. Erasmus University College wanted its students to take a piece of their shared experience with them. For its 2024 graduation, the college asked us to turn its historic building into a small construction kit. There was a practical requirement behind the idea: many students would be traveling home internationally, so the box had to fit in a suitcase.

We made the college building the focus, using original LEGO® elements to create a compact architectural model. The familiar facade gives the gift its personal connection. It is a place the graduates know, now in a form they can build for themselves and keep wherever the next chapter takes them.

Custom packaging and a printed instruction booklet completed the kit. The result connects the ceremony to everyday life after university: an evening spent building, followed by a small reminder on a shelf or desk. A shared address becomes something each graduate can carry away.
