The brief

Sauder Village brings history within reach through places and things people can explore. A custom brick model offers another way to make that connection. We created a windmill build carrying the village's identity, turning a distinctive heritage subject into an object that can be assembled at a smaller scale.

The open tower and broad wheel give the model its recognizable profile. We recreated that structure with original LEGO® elements and included the Sauder Village sign at the base, keeping the link to the destination visible. The result preserves the windmill's character without requiring a large display space.

The interest comes from following the structure as it takes shape. Building gives the subject a different kind of attention, with the completed model offering a lasting reminder of the place it represents. The kit translates an architectural feature into a simple physical connection with Sauder Village, extending its identity into a form that can be kept close.
