The brief

Specialist instruments are central to a laboratory, but rarely fit into an everyday conversation outside it. Our work for Malvern Panalytical brings that equipment into a format people can build and keep close. Aeris, Empyrean and Revontium become a family of custom brick models, each retaining its own product identity.

The collection spans distinct instrument shapes, from compact enclosed units to the larger Empyrean form. We use the proportions, access areas and branded surfaces that make each machine recognizable, then rebuild them with original LEGO® elements. The shared approach lets the models belong together without making them look interchangeable.

Aeris already has its own project story, and it sits here alongside the wider instrument collection. Together, the builds turn a specialist product range into something tangible and approachable. The interest stays with the equipment itself: a familiar machine for someone who uses it, and a small invitation to look more closely for someone discovering the brand.
