The brief

Eppendorf supplies laboratory equipment, and the Research plus pipette is a familiar tool for lab work. We built the pipette as a 124-piece kit with original LEGO® elements, keeping its white and gray profile, yellow controls and branded base. The result lets people build a miniature version of an instrument they may use at the bench every day.

Eppendorf helped shape the branding on the box and instruction booklet, carrying the Research plus identity through the kit and the materials used to build it. The instructions guide the builder through the pipette’s body, controls and base, turning a precise everyday instrument into a small, hands-on project.

The kit returned in 2025 and 2026 after its first production in 2024. Across the years, the central idea stayed close to the product: take a trusted laboratory pipette and give people a way to assemble its familiar form for themselves.
