The brief

Tecniplast’s expertise lives in equipment rarely seen outside a laboratory. We made its Emerald IVC system with Zephyr air handling unit into a product people can build and explore. The idea was to bring a specialized piece of laboratory equipment into a more approachable, physical form.

We shaped the model around the system’s tall enclosure and overhead ventilation unit. A dark frame, control display, front panel, and printed Tecniplast and ZEPhYR marks keep the equipment recognizable. The assembly joins the main cabinet and air handling unit as one cohesive model, with details builders can discover as the structure takes shape.

A custom box and printed instructions complete the experience. The build moves from the cabinet and its panels to the finished system, giving the equipment a second life as an object to handle and display. It is a compact way to keep Tecniplast’s laboratory engineering in view beyond the lab.
