The brief

TE Connectivity wanted a kit based on an existing company product to help people understand it through assembly. The original request described employee gifts and a practical view of the product. We developed the Data Connectivity Building Kit from original LEGO® elements. Its printed materials name Strategy Talent Days 2026 in Bensheim as the occasion.

The model presents the connection along a black display base. A dark cable housing sits at one end, followed by a silver-colored mesh section and blue, white and yellow conductors. At the other end, the gray connector has six yellow contacts on its front face. Printed TE branding appears on the connector body and the small plate at the front of the base.

The production run was 50 kits with UV-printed parts, a custom box and a 56-page instruction booklet. Both the box and booklet specify 385 pieces. The booklet starts with the base, then takes the builder through the assembly. The model keeps the conductors exposed between the two housings, making the separate sections visible together in the completed build.
