Sol Reader Product Kit

Sol Reader makes a wearable reading device designed to let people settle into a book with their hands free. For the holidays, cofounder Ben Chelf wanted a gift rooted in that product for the team, friends and family. We turned the reader into a brick model, giving the people around the company a different way to spend time with the device they knew.

The design focuses on the reader’s distinctive silhouette, with curved eyepieces and broad arms that make it recognizable as Sol. A model of the handheld control sits alongside it on a branded base. Building these familiar forms piece by piece brings a personal connection to the product, without needing to explain the electronics inside.

Once assembled, the replica becomes a desk display with a clear link to the company. The gift takes its subject from Sol’s own work, giving the holiday gesture a story that belongs to the team.
