The brief

Laboratory technology is designed to get work done. Turning it into a construction kit creates a different way to encounter the equipment: slowly, piece by piece, with attention to the product itself. For Siemens Healthineers, we developed a compact model of the Atellica CI Analyzer with Direct Connect, built from original LEGO® elements.

The design brings the analyzer and its connected section together in one recognizable model. Keeping that relationship clear gives the build its identity. Product markings help connect the miniature to the real equipment, so the finished object can carry the Atellica name into a setting far smaller than a working laboratory.

The client reviewed the instruction booklet, and the project included printed packaging and branded parts. Those elements make the product the subject of the whole kit, from the box to the completed build. It is a compact way to put a complex piece of medical technology within reach and give people time to engage with its form.
