The brief

Firebrand Printing produces custom labels and wanted a gift that reflected the craft and care behind their work. They came to us with an idea for a small printing press and its operator, something their clients could put together themselves.

We translated that idea into a compact print-shop scene using original LEGO® elements. The traditional press gave it a connection to the history of the trade, while the character brought the people behind the work into the story. We refined the layout with their team, keeping the details they cared about in a format suited to a run of 120 gifts.

The packaging and booklet carried the same warm, nostalgic feel. Firebrand added a message thanking customers for their continued business, with a thought that suited the kit perfectly: every business is built one piece at a time.

That made the building experience part of the thank-you itself, giving their clients something to spend time with and a small reminder of the people behind their printing orders.
