The brief

A global company also has a local address. American Express asked us to build that connection into a small Sunnyvale skyline, bringing its workplace together with recognizable pieces of the surrounding city. The request followed an earlier skyline concept, with a new selection of landmarks chosen specifically for Sunnyvale.

The client named the Historic Murphy Avenue sign, Libby's water tower and the American Express building as the key references. We brought them together in one compact composition using original LEGO® elements. Each landmark adds a point of recognition, while the company building makes the relationship to American Express part of the model itself.

Printed details, packaging and a booklet carry the project through as a complete construction kit. The idea is rooted in a particular place: a city, a workplace and the landmarks around it. Assembling that small skyline offers a way to appreciate the local setting behind a global name, with a finished model that keeps Sunnyvale close at hand.
