The brief

Warehouse automation can be difficult to picture until you put a machine at the center of the story. For DHL, we turned an autonomous forklift into a compact model made from original LEGO® elements. It gives a large logistics operation a small, specific subject that people can approach through building.

The forklift and its load make the task immediately understandable: moving goods through a warehouse. We kept that relationship visible in the model, so the equipment has context as well as a recognizable shape. DHL's identity ties the miniature to the company whose work it represents, making the brand part of the scene.

As a construction kit, the subject invites a different kind of attention from a diagram or a presentation. People can spend time with the machine's form and keep the completed model nearby. The project turns one part of a complex supply chain into an accessible starting point for a conversation about how goods move and how logistics keeps changing.
