The Y-Wing Starfighter was a series of multi-role starfighter-bombers seen was multiple eras of the Star Wars universe. Commissioned by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, many surviving Y-wings would go on to serve with the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.

In the Clone Wars Season 7 Finale, Captain Rex and Ahsoka Tano
escaped in a 501^st Y-Wing from a crashing Star Destroyer. Y-Wing Starfighters were used by the Galactic Republic in various battles across the Clone Wars.
