This is a small kinetic sculpture of a beating heart. Turning a crank on the back of the model alternately moves the lobes of the heart up and down, as if it were beating. You can see a demonstration of how the model operates in the video below.
A motorized version is also available, which includes a Circuit Cubes motor and battery box, and the pieces needed to connect them.
