"Race with Dave" es un increíble autómata diseñado por el constructor holandés de autómatas Joost Schiphorst.

Este autómata, hecho completamente de ladrillos LEGO, presenta a Dave, un jugador empedernido, jugando a un juego de carreras en su gran máquina recreativa (equipada con asiento y volante). Gran Turismo, Turbo Outrun, SEGA Rally. Sea cual sea el juego, Dave está concentrado en la pantalla ancha de su recreativa y conduciendo a toda velocidad con el pie a fondo.

Gracias a las rotaciones de la manivela o del motor incorporado (por cierto, puedes cambiar de uno a otro sin problemas), muchos detalles de esta hermosa creación están animados: el pie del personaje empujando el pedal, sus brazos girando agresivamente el volante e incluso los dos coches compitiendo dentro del juego recreativo.

Joost también inyectó en esta construcción compacta muchos pequeños detalles (en la silla de juego, el fondo de la carrera, la recreativa, etc.) que hacen que la escena sea tan realista y especial.
