About BuildaMOC
We make custom brick building simple
BuildaMOC helps builders, designers and companies turn custom models into complete kits. We handle the sourcing, the preparation, the designer relationships and the work that sits between a part list and a finished MOC.
- Original LEGO® bricks
- Designer-supported MOCs
- In-house sourcing and packing
- Worldwide shipping
The model is the fun part. Finding every brick is not.
Building somebody else's MOC usually starts with a part list and a lot of admin: checking availability across sellers, placing several orders, waiting, sorting what arrives, and finding out somewhere around step 40 that a handful of pieces never came.
That is the part we took on. You get one box with the parts, the instructions from the designer, and a person to write to when something is wrong.
What we hold to
Original bricks
We use original LEGO® elements only. No clone parts, whatever the margin would be.
Designers stay part of it
Designs are licensed, credited and paid, at least 10% of the total sale goes to the creator.
Kits prepared by our team
Someone counts the parts and checks the list again before it ships.
Support should be practical
When you write to us, humans reply - can you believe that?!
How we got here
It started because buying the parts was the worst part.
BuildaMOC began with a simple frustration: brilliant models from independent designers that almost nobody could actually build. Sourcing several hundred specific elements is a project in itself. Or began being copied by off-brands.
So we started doing that part for people, licensing designs, buying the elements, bagging them by step and posting a complete kit. The catalogue grew, and with it the stock, the picking tables and the printing.
Then companies started asking whether we could do the same thing with their product, their building or their logo. That work is now the larger half of what leaves the workshop, and it runs on exactly the same operation.
-
One kit at a time
Sourcing parts for other people's designs, by hand, one order at a time.
-
Designers on board
Licensing agreements with independent creators, and a share of every kit sold.
-
Our own stock
Buying deep rather than per order, so kits stopped depending on one seller.
-
Print & packaging for every project
Booklets, sleeves and inserts produced with the kit instead of bought in.
-
Production for companies
Custom models, branded packaging and runs delivered to offices and events.
The people who pick your parts
Our team prepares and quality-checks every kit before it ships. Real people across design, sourcing, production and support are behind each one.
A multidisciplinary team designs, sources, prepares, quality-checks and ships every kit from one integrated operation, which is why a business project gets the same attention as a single order from the catalogue.
A lot happens before the box leaves us
Stock walls, sorted elements, picking tables, printing, boxes and the finished builds.
Designers
Custom models start with creative people
Most of what we sell was designed by somebody in the community: JK Brickworks, Akiyuki, TonyFlow76, Planet GBC, Klosspalatset, Nico71 and dozens more. They keep the credit and they get paid on every kit.
If you have designed something you think should be a kit, we would like to see it.
How it works for designers
- You send the model and the part list.
- We check sourcing and agree the terms.
- We list it, prepare the kits and handle support.
- You receive at least 10% of every sale.
For companies
Brick kits also work well away from the hobby shelf
Most of our production is now for companies: events, client and employee gifts, product launches, offices and display models. Same sourcing and packing operation, with design and branded packaging on top.
Questions people ask us
What is a MOC?
"My Own Creation", a custom model designed by a builder rather than released as an official set. More on that here.
What comes in a kit?
Every part needed for the build, bagged, plus the designer's instructions, printed or digital depending on the kit.
Do you really only use original parts?
Yes. Quality and ethics both point the same way, so we use 100% original LEGO® elements.
Where are you based?
We are a registered company in the south of Spain, shipping worldwide.
Is this an official LEGO® product?
No. We work with original LEGO® elements that are repackaged or altered from their original form. The LEGO Group does not sponsor, authorize or endorse what we do.
