Die YF-23 Black Widow war in den späten 90er Jahren der direkte Konkurrent der F-22 Raptor. Das Design sollte heimlicher und schneller in gerader Linie sein. Die F-22 gewann den Wettbewerb als Kampfjet der nächsten Generation, sodass die 23 letztendlich von wichtigen Komponenten befreit und verschrottet werden sollte. Ein Flugzeugrumpf ist noch erhalten und wird als Museumsstück restauriert.

Dieses Modell verfügt über eine vollständige Ausstattung mit einstellbaren Steuerflächen, ein einziehbares Fahrwerk, einen Waffenschacht, Cockpitdetails, einen Ausstellungsständer und die ikonische Sanduhr, die auf die Unterseite gemalt ist. Das MOC misst ca. 37 cm (14,7 Zoll) x 58,6 cm (23,1 Zoll) x 12,4 cm (4,9 Zoll) und wiegt 1,24 Kilogramm (2,73 Pfund). Das Modell und der Ständer bestehen insgesamt aus 2133 Teilen.
