Leybold Vacuum Technology Kits

Leybold had several technical products they wanted to turn into custom brick models, so this became more of a series than a single kit.

We created small branded kits for different Leybold systems, including DACVAC, CLAWVAC CPK, VARODRY VDi and VARODRYKE. Each model had to keep enough of the real equipment to feel recognizable: pipes, frames, pumps, control panels, carts and the red-and-white Leybold branding.

The project also included a much larger assembled DACVAC model. That version was built as a display piece, with almost 4,800 pieces and a long open layout that showed the internal equipment in much more detail.

The nice part of this project is the range. Some models worked as compact kits that could be given to customers or used at events. The large DACVAC model had a different role: it was made to stand out in person and show the system at a much bigger scale.

Together, the models gave Leybold a full family of branded builds around their vacuum technology.
